‘We hired a hitman’: fans threaten Kapamilya artist, face legal action

STAR Magic condemned online threats made against one of its artists, following the circulation of a disturbing post from a fan group that claimed they had hired a hitman.

“Star Magic does not tolerate threats, derogatory remarks, and other personal attacks made online against our artists. These acts have serious and damaging consequences and we will take legal action, if necessary,” the agency said in a statement.

The agency was reacting to a viral comment from a group identifying as “JMFYANG ANGELS,” reportedly fans of the Jarren-Fyang love team.

The post sparked backlash online, with many netizens calling it disturbing and dangerous even if written in jest.

Star Magic emphasized that any form of threat, even those made under the guise of fandom, is a serious matter that could lead to legal consequences.

The agency also called on the public to use social media responsibly and reminded fan communities to avoid behavior that could cause harm or incite violence.
