SA kasagsagan ng national costume competition ng Miss Universe 2020 ngayong araw ay nag-tweet si Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray na ikinataas ng kiilay ng maraming Pinoy pageant fans.
Tweet ni Catriona: “Indonesia, Nepal, Peru, Thailand, Ukraine and Vietnam were my Top 6 @missuniverse National Costumes. Who were yours?”
Tanong tuloy ng ilang fans ni Rabiya, hindi ba talaga suportado ni Catriona ang Miss Universe Philipines 2020?
“As a true filipino and a pageant lover, whoever candidate is sent to Miss U, would also cheer for my country albeit their performance. That’s how bias I am to my country which is the Philippines! I WILL FOREVER RAISE OUR FLAG Flag of Philippines,” sey ng isang netizen.
“Can you imagine how Rabiya will feel or the team behind this NatCo if they see your tweet? I understand that you are trying not to be bias and whatever, but at this point and time, Philippines needs a strong support system,” sabi naman ng isa pa.
Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na kinuwestiyon ng publiko si Catriona ukol sa tila hindi niya pagkiling kay Rabiya.
Noong nakaraang linggo ay nag-post ng throwback photo si Catriona ng pagdating niya sa Thailand para Miss Universe pageant noong 2018.
Ang caption niya; “And just like that, it’s @missuniverse season again! I think it’s such an amazing feat that the delegates from around the world have been able to be present in Florida, USA having overcome all the challenges that I’m sure they and their team faced! So shoutout to all the contestants, their teams and families who have helped in allowing each woman to strive for her @missuniverse dreams despite the current climate! Seeing all the arrival looks so I’m reminiscing my own arrival look in Thailand. (Definitely one of my favorites!) Who are you all cheering for?”
Hirit ng mga followers niya, bakit hindi niya man lang nabanggit si Rabiya?
“Really? You’re a Filipina. Instead of cheering for [Mateo], you ask people who they are cheering for?” ayon sa isang fan.
Sabi naman ng isa pa: “You can at least show support to Rabiya even just through your insta story. We know (Miss Universe 2015) Pia (Wurtzbach) has shown her support!”
