VICE Ganda appeared to take a swipe at the Villar family during a segment of “It’s Showtime” on Tuesday, August 6.
During the “MasaSagot Mo Ba?” portion, the comedian-host made a pun involving the game of billiards or “bilyar” which sounds similar to the Villar surname.
“Sa bilyar… sa bilyar… sa bilyar… sino na naman ang nasa Senado sa Villar?” he quipped, drawing laughs and surprise from the audience.
“Hindi ‘yan ang tanong!” co-host Vhong Navarro quickly responded.
Vice added, “Hindi na naubusan ng Villar sa Senado… charot! No charot!”
The remarks didn’t end there. Vice also appeared to make a veiled reference to water issues, prompting encouragement from his co-hosts to continue. But the comedian quickly diverted the topic.
The Villar family’s water company, PrimeWater, has recently been under fire for alleged poor service in various areas across the country.
