Vic Sotto to seek MTRCB review of ‘Pepsi Paloma’ Film

THE camp of actor-host Vic Sotto plans to seek assistance from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) regarding the controversial film “Pepsi Paloma,” his lawyer revealed.

Atty. Enrique “Buko” Dela Cruz, Sotto’s legal counsel, stated they will request the MTRCB to thoroughly review the movie to determine its suitability for public viewing.

“Hihilingin namin na suriing mabuti ang nasabing pelikula at alamin kung papayagan ba itong maipalabas sa publiko,” Dela Cruz told Bilyonaryo News Channel.

Addressing concerns about potential bias, given that the MTRCB is chaired by Sotto’s niece, Lala Sotto, Dela Cruz expressed confidence in the board’s impartiality.

“I’m sure they have their own internal rules or policies tungkol diyan,” he added.

Earlier, the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court partially granted Sotto’s writ of habeas data petition, ordering director Darryl Yap to remove the teaser of the film from all social media platforms for mentioning Sotto’s name.
