Tuesday Vargas to critics: ‘No shame in asking for work’

ACTRESS Tuesday Vargas hit back at online critics who accused her of being “laos” after she openly asked her followers about possible work opportunities, saying there is nothing shameful about hustling, especially for one’s family.

In a lengthy post, Vargas addressed comments questioning why she was looking for work publicly, stressing that she was simply promoting her services properly and without stepping on anyone else.

“Sa mga nagsabi po na ‘Ano ba yan, nakakahiya ka, naghahanap ka ng work sa followers mo, laos ka na ba?’ Please lang po,” she wrote. “Maayos naman akong nagpo-promote ng aking services at wala naman akong tinatapakan na tao kaya huwag naman kayong ganyan.”

Vargas clarified that while she has savings, her priority is ensuring continuous income for her family after losing a show.

“Ganun sa showbiz—minsan mabilis ang turnover at walang warning,” she explained.

She also lashed out at netizens who she said had no idea about her real-life responsibilities, pointing out that those who do not help pay the bills have no right to judge her choices.

“So kung wala naman kayong alam sa buhay ko at di naman kayo mag-aambag sa pangbayad ko ng bills,” she said, quoting influencer Bretman Rock: “Don’t f**king tell me what to do, b*tch.”

Vargas ended her message by encouraging fellow breadwinners and hustlers not to be ashamed of asking for help as long as they are willing to work for it.

“Huwag tayo mahiya to ask for help para sa pamilya natin,” she said. “Pagtratrabahuhan mo naman, hindi mo naman iaasa. Kung mabait ka at masipag, taas-noo mong harapin ang lahat. Respect the hustle, guys.”
