In a heartwarming Instagram post, Megastar Sharon Cuneta shared a memorable evening at Malacañang Palace on Saturday, recounting a night filled with nostalgia, laughter, and friendship.
The megastar expressed her joy in reuniting with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, with whom she shares a long history of personal and professional connections, during the “Konsyerto sa Palasyo” at the Malacanang grounds.
“Nothing but love… and other friends!!! 💖🥰🎄,” Sharon began her post with photos of her and husband former Senator Kiko Pangilinan and the First Couple, which was packed with anecdotes about her ties to the Marcos family.
She shared a touching moment with the President, who told her, “Anytime you feel like it, just come here!”
Sharon revealed fascinating snippets of her past, including her first encounter with a disco at 14 in Malacañang and her experiences meeting Pope Paul VI in the same historic venue. Her bond with the Marcos family deepened over the years through countless dinners, campaigns, and shared milestones.
“Madame Imelda was a Principal Sponsor at GC’s and my wedding, and it was President Marcos Sr. who stayed at our party for hours!” she reminisced. “My favorite in their family has always been Pres. BBM.”
Sharon also noted how the First Lady greeted her “like no time had passed” and how the President’s embrace felt as warm as ever.
