MEGASTAR Sharon Cuneta is turning her love for scented candles into a small business.
In an interview on Beyond the Exchange with Rico Hizon, Sharon shared that she’s been making her own candles for a while now and has finally decided to sell them. “I think I have decided to turn it into a tiny business,” she said. “It’s therapeutic for me. When I have time to make them, it’s special.”
She makes the candles herself in her condo, which is now filled with wax, wicks, and fragrance oils. While her family prepares to move into their new home before Christmas, Sharon is preparing her own gift line, something fun and close to her heart.
She plans to launch two types: a fun line in tin cans, and a luxe line in designer jars, which she hopes to distribute in boutiques or department stores. There’s no launch date yet, but she says her kids are excited, and she hopes to roll them out by the holidays.
“While I have the time,” she said, smiling, “I’m preparing for my own gift-giving this Christmas. I’m making my own gifts.”
