A 20-year-old contestant from It’s Showtime’s “Sexy Babe” competition visited the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office and left with a deeper understanding of the agency’s vital role in the democratic process.
During her tour, she explored the different departments and learned about voter registration, election monitoring, and the process of candidate filings.
The experience gave her a newfound appreciation for the efforts behind ensuring fair and transparent elections.
“I used to think the Comelec was just about voting, but now I see how much work goes into making elections credible,” she shared.
She also encouraged young Filipinos to exercise their right to vote and participate actively in the electoral process.
During the Feb. 28 episode of “It’s Showtime,” the contestant was asked about her message to the Commission but she responded “hindi po ako masyadong knowledgeable sa Comelec (I am not too knowledgeable about the Comelec).”
