San Juan Councilor Ervic Vijandre called out by sister-in-law for ‘hypocrisy’

ACTOR and San Juan City Councilor Ervic Vijandre is facing serious accusations from his sister-in-law, who took to social media to expose an alleged assault on her husband, Erwin Vijandre, that took place last New Year’s Eve.

Triggered by Ervic’s public birthday greeting to his brother, Jaye Vijandre revealed the details of the incident, stating that despite remaining silent for months, she could no longer tolerate what she called his brother-in-law’s “hypocrisy.”

“We kept quiet even though he never asked how Erwin was. He ONLY said sorry when we were at the police station and Hall of Justice, asking Erwin not to press charges. Erwin gave him the favor and still protected his ‘good’ image,” she wrote.

She alleged that after Ervic was released from detention, he never reached out again—until his public birthday greeting, which she found disingenuous.

“He acts happy and blessed when he caused deep trauma to our family—not just physically, but emotionally and psychologically, especially to our kids,” Jaye continued.

Detailing the alleged attack, she claimed Ervic threw multiple punches to Erwin’s head while his back was turned, in full view of their children.

“It was unprovoked, and he started it. All of our children witnessed how he tried to end Erwin’s life. Up to now, they are having nightmares and are still scared. They don’t even want to return to the Philippines anymore,” she said.

She accused Ervic of maintaining a “good politician image” while allegedly mistreating his own family.

“He knows how to treat people right when he’s in his politician uniform, especially those with connections. But with family? If you’re worthless to him, you’re nothing,” she wrote.

Ending her statement with a plea, she called on Ervic to stop the act.

“Respect is a two-way street. If you want to get it, you’ve got to give it. I hope he gets our message and spares my family our sanity and peace of mind.”

As of this writing Ervic has not responded to the allegations.
