ACTRESS and TV host Ruby Rodriguez is considering legal action after a fabricated social media post alleged she had a child with Senate President Tito Sotto.
Ruby shared a screenshot of the bogus “news” circulating on Facebook, originally uploaded by a vlogger using the name “Pinas Star.” The graphic falsely claimed: “Ruby Rodriguez, inilantad na ang anak nila ni Tito Sotto—buong tapang na paglalahad ng kanyang tunay na kwento.”
The post quickly spread across social media, prompting Ruby to publicly call out the creator for spreading “malicious” content.
“I’m going to consult my lawyer regarding this matter,” she wrote, saying she is ready to pursue legal action against the source of the claim.
She stressed that beyond the hit on her reputation, the lie has deeply affected her loved ones.
“This malicious content is harming my family and innocent child. This is too much,” Ruby said.
