A HEARTFELT tribute to the late Philippine movie queen Gloria Romero emerged on Facebook, as a user shared rare photos of their aunt with the legendary actress from the 1950s.
Artwar Waltan posted images of his aunt, Tita Coring, posing alongside Romero in her younger years. The collection also included studio shots of Romero with fellow film icons of the era, such as Juancho Gutierrez, Van de Leon, Ramon Revilla, and Fred Montilla.
“Ang aking Tita Coring ay avid fan po ni Ms. Gloria Romero noong araw at talagang sinubaybayan niya ang maningning na karera sa showbiz ni Ms. Gloria,” Waltan wrote in the caption.
He shared how his aunt had countless stories about the actress and even preserved autographed photos of Romero. Waltan also recalled the time he showed the photos to Romero, who warmly remembered Tita Coring despite the passing years.
In closing, Waltan left a heartfelt message for his late aunt: “We miss you, Tita Coring. Kasama mo na rin sa Heaven ang number one idol mo ngayon.”
