ASIA’S Songbird Regine Velasquez has denied accusations that her younger sister Diane shoved a fan during a recent meet-and-greet after her concert with Vice Ganda.
In a statement on her X account, Regine said she was “disappointed” by the allegation and clarified that Diane did not push anyone, contrary to what was claimed online.
“Hello everyone, may nagreklamo lang she was pushed daw during meet and greet,” She wrote. “Ok first of all I want to say I am grateful and thankful tuwing nanonood kayo… Unfortunately hindi ganon lagi kasi wala tayong oras. Hindi rin ako robot na hindi marunong mapagod.”
The singer stressed that it was another person, not Diane, who made the remark about payment at the venue. “My sister Diane didn’t push you or said kayo ba magbabayad sa venue. It was the other girl who actually said that. I know kasi halos sa tenga ko sinabi yun,” she said.
Velasquez also noted that Diane’s hand was on her shoulder during the incident and only moved aside to allow a fan to take a selfie. “By the way I have the video that you were not pushed by my sister,” she added, saying her family was merely trying to ensure her safety after hours of performing.
“I was performing on stage since 8 p.m., both Vice and I were so tired but sobra kaming thankful for you guys kaya kahit hindi na kami makatayo andun pa rin kami at nagpa-picture,” Regine said. “Hindi naman ako galit but I’m disappointed.”
