ACTOR Piolo Pascual expressed admiration for Eman Bacosa Pacquiao, son of boxing legend and former senator Manny Pacquiao, after finally meeting the young athlete in person.
Pascual said he had long been aware of Eman due to viral social media posts comparing their looks. “He visited me yesterday. We had an interview together. Actually, my feed is full of Eman—Eman Pacquiao. Mga links, puro links and everything. Finally, I got to meet the boy yesterday,” the actor said.
But beyond the physical resemblance, Piolo said he was more impressed by Eman’s character. He described the younger Pacquiao as respectful and deeply spiritual, noting that these traits reflect how well he was raised.
“I would say, he was raised well. Very humble, very God-fearing. I think he’ll go places,” Piolo said.
The actor also took the comparison comments from netizens as a compliment. “It’s a compliment… to say that ‘magkamukha kami’,” he added.
Piolo further praised Eman’s dedication to boxing, the very sport that brought his father to global prominence.
He said he encouraged the young Pacquiao to stay focused and continue pursuing his goals.
“He’s a good kid. I’m happy there’s someone like him in that field which is boxing. I gave him advice to just really reach for his dreams,” Piolo said.
