KUMPIYANSA pa rin ang PDP Laban na mananatili itong dominant party sa kabila nang pagkawala ng mga pambato nito sa 2022 national elections matapos kapwa umurong sina Pangulong Duterte at Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go.
“We acknowledge the withdrawal of the respective candidacies of our party leaders, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Senator Bong Go for the 2022 National Elections,” sabi ni PDP Laban president Alfonso Cusi.
Idinagdag ni Cusi na ipinagmamalaki ng partido ang mga nagawa ni Duterte sa harap ng nararanasang pandemya.
“Slowly but surely, the country has transitioned to recovery while countries in Europe and Africa continue to deal with Covid -19 surges. PDP Laban will remain a dominant party because of the success of President Rodrigo Duterte, who will be remembered as the most revered and well- loved leader of the masses,” aniya.
Kasabay nito, nanawagan si Cusi sa mga kapartido na manatiling nagkakaisa para suportahan si Duterte sa nalalabing buwan ng kanyang termino.
“We assure the public that PDP Laban will continue to espouse the policies and programs that made the Duterte Legacy possible,” ayon pa kay Cusi.
