KAPAMILYA actress Jane de Leon turned emotional during her exit from the Pinoy Big Brother house on Saturday, May 31, drawing mostly backlash from netizens.
Jane was one of the celebrity house guests in the ongoing “PBB Celebrity Collab Edition,” where she spent a week bonding with the remaining housemates.
But before she officially left the house, she broke down in tears during a heartfelt moment inside the confession room and while speaking with hosts Bianca Gonzalez and Gabbi Garcia.
While some viewers appreciated her vulnerability and felt moved by her words, others found her reaction overly dramatic for a week-long stay.
Several netizens took to social media to criticize Jane, accusing her of being “OA” and even stealing the spotlight from recently evicted housemates Xyriel Manabat and Vince Maristela.
“Kaloka ka, Jane! Dinaig mo pa ang housemates sa ka-OA-yan mo. Ikaw ba ang na-evict? Di kami nainform,” one netizen wrote.
“Parang si Jane de Leon ang na-evict sa PBB. Nahiya yung mga evictees sa ’yo, teh!” said another.
Some also complained that her screen time overshadowed the proper send-off for the evictees.
“Sayang yung airtime ng PBB. She should’ve given way to the evictees. It was their last day in Kuya’s house,” one user commented.
Jane has yet to respond to the online criticisms.
