KAPUSO actress Nadine Samonte appealed to the public to be more mindful about seeking help, noting that she receives a surge of requests only during the Christmas season from people who otherwise do not reach out to her throughout the year.
In a social media post, Samonte said she understands that Christmas is traditionally a time for giving, but stressed that helping others should not be limited to the holiday season.
She said she finds it uncomfortable to receive messages from individuals who only contact her in December to ask for assistance.
“Dear people, alam ko this is the time of giving kasi it’s Christmas, pero kahit hindi Pasko, we share,” Samonte wrote.
She added, half-jokingly, that if she is remembered only during Christmas, she might as well forget people during the same period.
“So ang issue ko is wag n’yo naman ako i-message ng nanghihingi kasi Pasko or something na buong taon hindi n’yo naman ako pinapansin… puwede, tuwing December ako magkakaroon ng amnesia,” she said.
