IGINIIT ng spokesperson ng Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 executive committee na walang naganap na lutuan sa pagpili ng mga nanalo sa Gabi ng Parangal nitong Biyernes ng gabi.
Ani Noel Ferrer, hindi matatawaran ang integridad ng mga miyembro ng hurado na pumili sa mga nominado at nagwagi.
Kabilang sa board of jurors sina Jose Javier Reyes, Nicanor Tiongson at Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.
Ilan naman sa mga miyembro ay sina John Arcilla, Paolo Villaluna, Lee Meily, Roy Iglesias at Marinel Cruz.
“You may agree or disagree with … but the integrity of each and every member of the Jury since we took charge in 2016, especially on this 50th Edition of the MMFF cannot be assailed,” ani Ferrer.
Dagdag niya, dalawang tao lamang ang nakakaalam ng mga nagwagi, ang chairman ng jury at ang MMFF executive director.
“They have exhaustively deliberated and decided on the nominees and the winners from 9 am-4:30 pm yesterday… No leaks, definitely no cooking show…only the Jury Chair and the MMFF Executive Director knew the results, not even I or any member of the Execom,” lahad ni Ferrer.
“Rest assured, there was due process and the judgment was fair and sound and final!!!”
