BEAUTY queen-actress Michelle Dee surprised her mother, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, with the replica of her original crown that was stolen years ago.
In an Instagram post, Dee shared a video of her mom beaming with the new crown, which she had specially commissioned with the help of pageant expert Voltaire Tayag.
“Everyday is Mother’s Day and everyday is your birthday! But years ago, my mom’s original Miss International 1979 crown was stolen. She never got it back,” Michelle wrote. “So after careful planning… I gave her something close enough—a replica with details I never even knew about. To my REYNA! I love you.”
The beauty queen also playfully noted that she realized she was wearing her dad’s trench coat in the photo. “P.S. I miss my mom’s melanisms!” she added.
