KAPUSO actor and dancer Mark Herras said he is seriously considering getting a vasectomy to make sure he and wife Nicole Donesa won’t have more children.
Mark said he and Nicole are already content with their two kids: four-year-old Mark Fernando “Corky” Donesa Herras, and their youngest, Mija, born in June 2025.
“Magpapakapon na ako, e. Napag-usapan namin ni Nicole ‘yan pero hindi ko pa alam kung kailan,” he said.
He added: “Siyempre, pinag-iisipan ko nang maigi… Actually, nag-uusap pa lang kami tungkol dito. Hindi pa naman siya final.”
According to Mark, the decision is part of their family planning: “Pero ‘yun ang gusto namin. Para ma-prevent na rin ang maraming anak.”
When a commenter suggested he could simply use condoms, Mark responded bluntly: “Ayoko ng condom.”
The actor clarified that he isn’t avoiding responsibility as a parent. Instead, he said he’s thinking about their financial capacity.
“Ang iniisip ko lang siguro, ‘yung capacity… like ngayon, ‘yung trabaho ko with GMA or outside showbiz, hindi pa siya gano’n ka-stable,” he explained.
“So kung magdadagdag kami, ayan, mahal ang pang-school ng bata… pati gatas. So, parang family planning lang.”
Asked whether he was inspired by Kapuso host Drew Arellano’s vasectomy, Mark admitted: “Actually, nu’ng nakita ko ‘yung kay Drew, sabi ko, ‘may gumagawa naman pala talaga.’”
