TV host-actress Mariel Padilla looked back on her love story with husband Senator Robin Padilla as they marked their 15th wedding anniversary.
On Instagram, Mariel shared throwback photos of their early days as a couple. “They called it a whirlwind romance, but we knew it was destiny,” she wrote.
She also posted their old pictures on her Instagram Stories with Shania Twain’s “You’re Still The One” playing in the background. “Relationship status: going stronger every day,” she captioned.
The couple first met on the noontime show “Wowowee,” where Mariel was a regular host and Robin appeared as a guest co-host.
They tied the knot in India in August 2010, just three months after they began dating, and later held another wedding in Baguio in September the same year.
