Lindsay Custodio goes after ex-husband again, files fresh VAWC complaint

FORMER actress Lindsay Custodio has formally filed a complaint for violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act (VAWC) against her ex-husband, Frederick Cale.

Lindsay filed the complaint before Deputy Prosecutor SACP Alexis G. Bartolome at the Department of Justice in Quezon City.

She was accompanied by her lawyer, Atty. Heyz Meking, as well as her mother Teresita Custodio, daughter Charisse Marianne Platon, and close friend, actress Bianca Lapus, who served as witnesses.

This is Lindsay’s second attempt to pursue the case. Her earlier complaint, filed in 2024 in Muntinlupa, was dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction, as the alleged incidents happened in Quezon City.

Early this year, Lindsay said she intended to refile the case to reclaim her dignity and protect her family.

“I’m doing this not just for myself, but also for my children and for my mother who silently endured everything with me,” she told reporters.

Bianxa, who was present during the filing, said Lindsay had shared with her the emotional and psychological distress she endured, which led to sleepless nights and depression.
