CONTENT creator and impersonator Chino Liu, popularly known as Krissy Achino, narrowly avoided becoming a victim of a break-in attempt at a compound in Brgy. Don Bosco, Parañaque City.
The incident took place on May 31 and was caught on CCTV. Footage showed a man climbing a wall to enter the compound where Liu resides. However, the suspect failed to break into any units as all homes were locked at the time.
Liu, who serves as a barangay kagawad, said the attempted theft would have gone unnoticed if not for a missing pair of slippers. A resident checked the security footage after noticing the item was gone, revealing that the suspect had used slippers from one unit and left them behind at another home when he failed to steal anything.
The man was later apprehended in a different barangay, not for attempted theft but for alleged involvement in illegal drugs.
Liu addressed the incident on Facebook, urging fellow residents to remain alert and proactive.
“Kami po ay nananawagan sa lahat ng ating mga kapitbahay, residente, at ka-barangay na maging mapagmatyag at magpatupad ng karagdagang seguridad sa kani-kanilang mga tahanan upang maiwasan ang ganitong mga insidente,” he wrote.
“Magtulungan po tayo upang mapanatiling ligtas, maayos, at maaliwalas ang Barangay Don Bosco. Sa pamamagitan ng pagiging mapagmatyag, maagap na pag-uulat sa mga kahina-hinalang gawain, at pakikiisa sa mga inisyatibo ng barangay, makakabuo tayo ng isang komunidad na tunay na nagkakaisa para sa kapayapaan at seguridad ng lahat.”
