COMEDIENNE KitKat took a swipe at actor-comedian Gene Padilla on social media after Marjorie Barretto revealed that her former brother-in-law was not invited to the wedding of her daughter, Claudia Barretto.
“Sorry, di ko napigil… tawang-tawa lang ako dito,” KitKat wrote in a Facebook post. “FYI: wala ako pakialam sa mga eksena… natawa lang ako kasi nasopla si Gene. Di ka naman pala invited, hahahaha!”
In a recent interview, Marjorie criticized Gene for an earlier Instagram post in which he lamented how his brother, actor Dennis Padilla, and their mother, Mama Lina, were supposedly snubbed and disrespected during the wedding. Gene had claimed they arrived early from Bulacan only to feel left out of the celebration.
Marjorie denied the allegations and clarified that Gene had not been invited in the first place.
KitKat, meanwhile, used the moment to air a personal grievance. “Well, sakin umepal ka din dati—ikaw na nga ‘yung pinag-simpatyahan ko pero gumatong at nakipagkampihan ka pa sa umaway sakin! Katatanda at kalalaki niyong tao, pinagkaisahan niyo ko!” she wrote, adding that she was pregnant at the time.
“P.S. Di ko makakalimutan ‘yun. Hilig niyo manakit ng damdamin ng babae, bata, ng kapwa!” she added.
She capped her post with a cheeky reference to the movie Uninvited: “Makanuod nga nung Uninvited. Share ko lang, ganda ko dito eh. At baka may magsabi na sawsaw ako ah?! Wag kayong 8080! Si Gene lang tinatawanan ko dito. Wala akong paki kay Dennis at Marjorie. Natawa ako kasi nasopla ‘yung epal na si Gene! Bawal tumawa? Natawa ka nga rin for sure eh!”
