ACTRESS-entrepreneur Kiray Celis admitted that when her fiancé Stephan Estopia proposed, one thought immediately crossed her mind: how much the ring was worth.
“Dahil mukhang pera ako, noong nag-‘Will you marry me?’ siya, sabi ko sa sarili ko, kailangan minimum isang milyon ang singsing,” she said with a laugh. “Yun talaga ang pumasok sa isip ko.”
She even quipped that the engagement ring could double as an emergency fund if needed.
“Kapag wala na kaming makain, may pansalba ako. Wala kaming matirhan, ‘O, ibenta na natin ito,'” she said.
However, all those thoughts disappeared the moment she saw Stephan down on one knee.
“Noong nakita ko na siya nakaluhod, hindi ko na inisip yung singsing. Kasi, it’s a yes for me,” she said.
Kiray also shared that she did some sleuthing about her new sparkler, since Stephan didn’t give her many details.
“Ayaw niyang sagutin, pero kayo na po ang bahala mag-research. It’s a three-carat ring,” she said. “Wala na akong mabigay na details, pero kasi nag-re-research ako — talaga naman, nilampasan niya pa ang expectations ko. Ginalingan niya.”
