Kim Chiu’s face covered on bakeshop banner in Davao

A BAKESHOP in Davao City has gone viral after netizens noticed that actress Kim Chiu’s face on its tarpaulin was deliberately covered.

In a trending post on X, a user shared a photo of the bakery’s signage with Chiu’s image visibly taped over.

“KIM CHIU, BINASTOS NG J**** BAKESHOP NG INDANGAN, DAVAO CITY BRANCH. Sana i-pull out ng J*** Bakeshop ang mga branch nila sa Davao,” the post by AltA2Z said.

This comes after some netizens linked Chiu’s opening spiels on “It’s Showtime” to the recent arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

The actress, however, was quick to deny any political intent behind her remarks.

“Hala, nakakaloka! Ba’t ako nasali d’yan?!!! Like O to the M to the G!!!! Busy ako sa ibang bagay. Diyos ko, ‘wag niyo akong isali sa ganyan. Parang awa n’yo na. Ang gulo na po ng mundong ibabaw,” she said.

Kim also urged people not to involve her in the controversy, adding, “‘Wag na tayo dumagdag. Diyos ko na lang talaga.”
