ACTRESS Janice de Belen could not hide her excitement after sharing the stage with South Korean actor Song Joong-ki during his fan meet in Manila on Saturday, May 24.
Janice was called onstage during the event, where Song handed her a bouquet of flowers and gave her a warm embrace.
“OMG! Amazing night!” she later wrote on Instagram. “Tonight was a super, super surprise. I really did not expect to be on the same stage as my crush. May flowers at maraming yakap pa!”
Janice revealed that Song Joong-ki holds a special place in her heart, especially because his hit series “Descendants of the Sun” helped her cope with grief after the passing of her mother.
“He is my ultimate favorite Korean actor. ‘Descendants of the Sun’ was the first show I watched when our mom passed away… It helped me so much to recover from the sadness and pain. After that, mahal ko na siya,” she shared.
“Tonight was monumental for me. Buti na lang hindi ako naiyak o hinimatay,” she added.
Janice also thanked the actor for being gracious to his Filipino fans. “Thank you @hi_songjoongki for being so nice! You made your Filipino fans so happy.”
