ACTOR and TV host Jhong Hilario said he and his partner Maia Azores panicked after their daughter, Sarina, went missing during a family trip to Japan.
In a vlog shared on his channel, Jhong narrated that Sarina suddenly ran off on their first day in Japan while they were visiting a large rainforest-themed café.
“May insidenteng nangyari. Unang araw pa lang e biglang tumakbo nang mabilis [si Sarina]. Sa sobrang laki ng rainforest café e hinanap namin,” he said.
Maia was visibly shaken and nearly in tears as they searched for Sarina. They alerted mall staff and security, who helped comb through the area.
After a tense few minutes, Jhong found their daughter upstairs. “‘Yun pala umakyat na agad sa taas. Nakita ko nagsya-shopping na. May dalang basket ng mga toys niya,” Jhong said.
In a video posted on Instagram, Jhong was seen calling out to his daughter: “Sarina, we’re looking for you.” Smiling, Sarina replied, “I’m just shopping,” while holding a small basket filled with toys.
“You have to tell us. Don’t go away from us, ok? That’s not nice. We are so worried. Don’t do it again,” Jhong told her, later asking Sarina to apologize to her mother, grandfather, and uncle who were all with them during the trip.
