CELEBRITY chef Jeremy Favia has publicly called out his sister-in-law, comedienne Kitkat, accusing her of repeatedly disrespecting their family amid the controversy surrounding the actress’ viral post about allegedly receiving expired food from her mother-in-law.
In a series of comments to netzens, Favia said he felt compelled to speak out after years of remaining silent for the sake of his brother. He claimed that Kitkat’s behavior toward her in-laws had crossed a line.
“The way Soraya (KitKat”s real name) disrespects people around her—my mama included—speaks volumes on how she really is,” Favia wrote. “Sa totoo lang po, pwedeng hindi na ako magsalita kasi obvious naman.”
Favia said the alleged disrespect was not an isolated incident, claiming that Kitkat had previously embarrassed their mother and even confronted younger members of the family. “Kaya niya po talagang gawin ’yan. Nagawa niya nga po sa nanay ko,” he said. “FYI, pinapatulan ni Soraya kahit bata na mga pamangkin namin. That alone speaks volumes.”
According to Favia, their mother had endured the situation quietly for a long time. “Yung nanay ko po kasi ang malambot, kaya siya yung laging tinatarget,” he wrote, adding that the family tolerated the situation out of concern for his brother.
Favia also questioned his brother’s silence amid the conflict. “And my brother allows the disrespect,” he said, expressing frustration over what he described as a failure to defend their mother.
He further alleged that tensions within the family extended to social media, claiming he had been blocked and unfriended by his brother, possibly through Kitkat’s actions.
“Either my own brother blocked me or si Soraya po ’yan, kasi may access po siya sa phone ng kuya Walby,” he wrote, calling the situation “sad but true.”
Despite the public nature of the dispute, Favia said his priority remained protecting his family. “I am not scared of them. I will protect my family at all cost—my mom, brothers, nephews, and nieces included,” he said.
