ACTRESS and social media darling Ivana Alawi surprised Katie, the daughter of actress Katrina Halili, with a fun-filled shopping spree to celebrate her 13th birthday.
According to Katrina, Ivana reached out after seeing one of Katie’s messages online.
“Nagme-message kasi kami ni Ivana tapos nakita niya. Tapos minessage niya, pinakinggan ko, ang hina. Sabi, ‘Tita Ivana, kailan shop all you want?’” Katrina said.
Ivana gamely fulfilled the request, letting Katie choose toys not just for herself but also for her classmates and other children.
The three later bonded over ice skating, figurine painting, and slime-making before capping the day with a meal at a restaurant.
Katie also shared the joy by giving away some of her newly bought toys to kids they met at the mall.
In one sweet moment, Katie told Ivana, “I miss Tita Ivana,” while painting a figurine. The actress replied, “Anytime you miss me, you can call me.” But Katie quipped, “Text na lang, ayaw kong magtawag… busy ka daw e.”
Ivana, clearly touched, said she has grown close to both mother and daughter. “Love na love ko si Ate Kat, love na love ko rin si Katie. Hindi na sila iba sa akin,” she said.
