ACTRESS and style icon Heart Evangelista is now the newest face of fast-food giant McDonald’s, a move she described as another “dream come true.”
The Kapuso actress announced the endorsement in a Facebook post on Friday, Aug. 15, sharing behind-the-scenes photos from what appeared to be a McDonald’s commercial shoot.
“Another dream come true. Little Heart, this one’s for you,” she wrote.
She also expressed her gratitude to the brand: “I can’t even put into words how much love and gratitude I feel right now. @mcdo_ph, thank you for all the love you’ve given me, I can’t wait to share that with everyone. The best dreams are the ones we get to pay forward.”
Heart’s new role comes days after some supporters of former president Rodrigo Duterte called for a boycott of brands endorsed by comedian Vice Ganda, including McDonald’s.
The boycott calls followed a joke Vice made during a concert, where he mentioned “The Hague” and “ICC,” then imitated the former president with a profanity-laced remark, drawing cheers from the live audience.
McDonald’s has yet to issue a statement on whether Vice Ganda is still among its endorsers. The comedian has also not commented on Heart’s appointment.
