KAPAMILYA actor Harvey Bautista came to the defense of his girlfriend, dancer and performer AC Bonifacio, amid the wave of online bashing she received following her stint in “Pinoy Big Brother.”
In a post on X, Harvey, son of former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista, criticized netizens for what he described as violent and unnecessary attacks on AC.
“You know, all this hate you’re throwing at my girlfriend has become too much and way too violent,” Harvey wrote. “The death threats and making fun of her as if you know the full context of everything that happened inside and outside that house?”
He pointed out that AC remained a topic of conversation inside the PBB house even a month after her eviction, saying this indicated the impact she had on her fellow housemates.
“She was brave enough to confront and be honest with the people she talked to inside the house in hopes of clearing the air between them—and she did,” he said.
He also praised AC for choosing honesty over convenience.
“She was brave and honest in a situation where most people would’ve folded and just played it safe and been fake to someone they had issues with,” he said.
The young actor urged critics to reflect before posting hateful comments online, reminding them that anonymity does not excuse online harassment.
“She’s learning, she’s healing, and she’s reflecting. And all this hate is not helping anyone grow,” he said. “Pag-isipan niyo po sana muna yung sasabihin ninyo tungkol sa mga tao online. Just because you hide behind an X account doesn’t mean you won’t deal with consequences too.”
“Should’ve done this earlier, but now it’s just getting ridiculous and unnecessary. Back off,” he added.
