KARAPATAN ng komedyanteng si Awra Briguela na magsuot ng pambabaeng uniform dahil nirerespeto sa University of the East ang mga miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ community, ayon sa Student Council ng kolehiyo.
Sa kalatas, iginiit ng UE Student Council na tinututulan ng unibersidad ang lahat ng uri ng gender discrimination.
“Everyone deserves a safe and inclusive environment – where no one is left behind or discriminated against, regardless of their identity,” ayon dito.
“UE is committed to fostering an inclusive atmosphere, where LGBTQIA+ members are respected, and students are permitted to wear opposite-sex attire of their choice and uniforms, provided they have approval from the Student Affairs Office,” dugtong ng UESC.
Bago ito, inokray ng maraming netizens si Awra nang ibandera nito sa social media ang suot niyang female uniform sa kanyang pagbabalik-eskwela.
