ACTRESS Cristine Reyes and political strategist Gio Tingson have known each other since grade school, according to an article by talent manager and journalist Noel Ferrer, which Reyes shared on her social media page.
Ferrer wrote that the pair first met during their elementary days at Ateneo de Manila University, inside a “marriage booth” at the school fair. Tingson was in Grade 6 while Reyes was in Grade 5.
“The couple’s history dates back to their childhood days at Ateneo de Manila University, where they first met at a marriage booth. They later reconnected, and their relationship blossomed,” the article read.
Tingson recalled that he played the “priest” in the booth, while Reyes was “married” to another student as part of the fair activity.
Rumors linking the two first surfaced in June 2025 through a vlog by Ogie Diaz, who reported that Reyes, previously in a relationship with actor Marco Gumabao, was dating a political strategist.
By July, Reyes appeared to confirm the relationship after posting photos of Tingson on her Instagram account.
