FDA warns vs unregistered Rosmar beauty soaps

THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning against purchasing and using two beauty soaps from social media personality Rosmar Tan-Pamulaklakin.

In an advisory, the FDA flagged Rosmar Skin Essentials’ “Premium Niacinamide Soap” and “Mysterious Madre de Cacao Soap” as unregistered products, noting the absence of valid Certificates of Product Notification (CPNs) as of December 17, 2024.

“Since these unauthorized cosmetic products have not undergone the FDA’s notification process, we cannot guarantee their quality and safety. Using such violative products may pose health risks,” FDA Director General Dr. Samuel Zacate stated.

Under Republic Act No. 9711, the manufacture, sale, or distribution of health products without FDA authorization is prohibited.

Responding to the advisory, Rosmar claimed the FDA had repeatedly denied her company’s applications.

“We are always complying, but our applications—even renewals for previously approved products—are being rejected. Despite submitting revisions, our applications remain denied,” she said.
