A SCREENSHOT claiming to show an Instagram Story posted by actor Enrique Gil about the death of former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile has been circulating on social media, drawing wide reactions from netizens.
The image shows a photo of Enrile with the caption, “Rest in peace, sen. Let’s not stress ourselves. Mananagot din ang mga taong nagdiriwang sa pagkawala mo.”
However, a check of Gil’s official Instagram account showed no such post.
The actor has yet to release a statement confirming or denying the authenticity of the screenshot.
Gil portrayed the young Juan Ponce Enrile in a two-part Maalaala Mo Kaya episode in 2013.
