FORMER president Joseph “Erap” Estrada and his family were among those who extended financial help to the family of National Artist and Superstar Nora Aunor, according to Cristy Fermin in her vlog “Showbiz Now Na”.
Cristy said that aside from President Bongbong Marcos, who paid Nora’s hospital bills, several celebrities also donated money to help with the wake and funeral expenses.
She mentioned that Coco Martin gave a generous amount, thanking him for his support.
Senator Robin Padilla also helped without hesitation, with Cristy saying that the lawmaker has always been ready to extend help since before he became a senator.
Sharon Cuneta was also named among the donors.
Cristy said the Estrada family’s donation was significant, enough to be described as “pampagawa ng bahay” in value.
Estrada worked with Nora in movies like “Bakya mo Neneng” (1977) and “Erap Is My Guy” (1973).
Many other unnamed artists also sent financial assistance, but Cristy said she could not mention everyone because of the sheer number of those who contributed.
She added that during Nora Aunor’s wake, many artists, former colleagues, and loyal fans came to pay their respects, proving how deeply loved and respected the Superstar was.
