Epy Quizon still receives allowance from Dolphy’s legacy

YEARS after comedy king Dolphy’s passing, actor Epy Quizon revealed that he and his siblings continue to receive financial support from the family’s businesses, a result of the elder Quizon’s careful planning.

In an interview with Julius Babao on his YouTube channel, Epy addressed misconceptions about their wealth.

“‘Ang yayaman ng mga Quizon! Bilyonaryo!’ Sabi nila. Pero hindi po gano’n,” Epy said. “Bente rin po kaming magkakapatid. Disiotso na lang ngayon. Yung shares, hati-hati po talaga. Ang nakukuha namin ay royalty, parang allowance.”

Epy added that even the families of Dolphy’s deceased children still receive their share. He credited his brother, Eric Quizon, for steering the family legacy in the right direction.

“I’ll give my hats off to my brother Eric for pushing the boundaries in what we can do,” he said.

The system, Epy explained, was designed to ensure that even Dolphy’s great-grandchildren would benefit.

“It’s designed in a way na yung apo apo sa tuhod ng tatay ko ay makikinabang,” he said.
