A SOCIAL media post attributed to Enrique Gil, supposedly mourning the reported death of Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile, has been confirmed as fake.
The actor’s manager, Ranvel Rufino, posted the screenshot on his Instagram Story with a clarification: “Quen didn’t post this.”
He also urged the public to stop spreading fabricated content. “Guys, please stop creating and posting fake news,” he wrote.
The alleged IG Story, which quickly went viral, showed a photo of Enrile with the caption, “Rest in peace, sen. Let’s not stress ourselves. Mananagot din ang mga taong nagdiriwang sa pagkawala mo.”
A check of Gil’s social media accounts showed no such post.
