Duterte supporters slam Jasmine Curtis-Smith over ‘good morning’ post

ACTRESS Jasmine Curtis-Smith found herself the target of backlash from supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte after a seemingly innocent Facebook post.

On Wednesday, Curtis-Smith wrote, “Magandang umaga ☀️ sana masarap ang almusal ng lahat.”

While many fans saw it as a simple greeting, Duterte supporters took it as a veiled jab at the former president, who had just been arrested and flown to The Hague, Netherlands.

Critics flooded the comments section, accusing her of making a double-edged remark.

“Sus, pa double meaning ka pa eh obvious naman na masarap ang almusal mo dahil sa nangyayari,” one said while another quipped, “Di po masarap at maganda araw. Masama loob sa nangyare kay tatay Digong.”

Some even dismissed her as “irrelevant,” while a few claimed she was seeking attention.

A few even took jabs at her career and compared her to her younger sister, Anne Curtis.

“Kahit magclout ka dyan mas sikat pa den sayo bunso mong kapatid este ate mo pala sori mas mukha ka kaseng matanda kesa kanya hahaha,” a Duterte diehard commented.
