ACTOR Dennis Trillo came to the defense of Jazz, the teenage son of his wife Jennylyn Mercado, after the boy was targeted by offensive remarks online.
The exchange began after Jennylyn posted a video with Jazz and their other son Calix while shopping at a mall. “Spending the day with my boys, discovering wonders and picking up some cool stuff at the National Geographic store,” she wrote in the caption.
One netizen commented, “Parang may autism anak ni Jen,” to which Dennis calmly responded, “May problema po ba kayo sa may autism?”
Another user added, “Parang malamya,” prompting Dennis to clap back: “Wow. Hiyang hiya naman ako sa pagmumukha mo.”
Jazz, 16, is Jennylyn’s son with actor Patrick Garcia. In a 2022 interview, Jennylyn revealed that Jazz was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a developmental condition that affects communication and behavior.
