EMBATTLED comedian Dennis Padilla appealed to netizens to leave his brother, Gene Padilla, out of the backlash following revelations made by his ex-wife, Marjorie Barretto.
“Sa mga bashers… pls spare my brother… Itodo niyo na lang sa akin. God bless you more,” Dennis wrote in an Instagram post.
He also expressed gratitude to Gene, who recently came to his defense after claiming they were snubbed at the wedding of Dennis’ daughter, Claudia Barretto.
“Dear Gene… Wala kang mali. Nagbigay ka lang ng suporta sa akin dahil naramdaman mo ako. Salamat,” Dennis added.
Gene, for his part, took a more reflective tone, saying he has accepted the criticism coming his way.
“It’s okay if you say hurtful things. You don’t know me, and I don’t know you, but I still choose to send you love, peace, and prayers for healing,” he said.
