FILM director Darryl Yap expressed his dismay over his mom’s experience of being allegedly disrespected by a female doctor at a clinic in Olongapo City, Zambales.
The director spoke about this through his Facebook page on Thursday, July 3, as he asked for suggestions where his mom could “rent an evening gown” for her next clinic appointment.
“Kasi binastos siya ng Doktor sa Medical City SM Olongapo Central dahil naka-shorts at t-shirt lang siya; eh babalik ulit siya bukas, para sana sweet na yung doktor sa kanya,” he wrote.
Yap said his mother had to wait an hour for the doctor.
In the comments section, Yap also called the attention of Olongapo City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino Jr. and Zambales First District Congressman Jay Khonghun regarding the matter.
In a separate post, Yap also revealed his conversation with an unidentified individual who confirmed that the director’s mom indeed waited for the doctor for about an hour.
The unidentified source further claimed that several other patients have been complaining about the doctor’s attitude, but that the complaints have remained unresolved.
Yap said he had already called the manager of the clinic and was told that a meeting would be set with his mom and the doctor to talk the matter over.
