Claudine Barretto offers help to parents considering legal adoption

INSTEAD of discouraging parents from giving up their children for adoption, Claudine Barretto appears to support those who are seriously considering it and even offered her help.

In a recent Instagram post, Claudine expressed concern for the welfare of children whose parents may be thinking of putting them up for adoption.

“I was browsing my FB and stumbled on [people] who are willing to give up their children for adoption,” she wrote. “I am not sure if it is legit. ‘Wag naman kayo magloko if hindi kayo serious…”

She then offered assistance to parents who are determined to go through with the adoption process.

“I’m willing to help the parents sa legal na process through DSWD. Thank you & God bless. PM me if you need help,” she added.

However, a commenter pointed out that the adoption process is now under the National Authority for Child Care (NACC), not the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Some netizens also suggested that interested parties reach out to licensed child-caring institutions.

Claudine has three adopted kids.
