COMEDIAN and vlogger Chad Kinis came to the defense of fellow Beks Battalion member and It’s Showtime host MC Calaquian after a netizen accused MC of being “lazy” and “goalless.”
In a Facebook post, Chad shared a screenshot of a comment from a certain Xen Haymark, who compared MC unfavorably to fellow host Lassy. The commenter claimed that Lassy had achieved more in life while MC had nothing to show.
“Mas bet ko si Lassy… kahit sinasabihan na chaka, ‘wag ka, dami naipundar, kesa kay MC na tamad at walang pangarap… sa vlog wala maipakita si MC kasi walang pangarap,” the netizen wrote.
Chad didn’t let the comment slide.
“‘Di porke walang pinapakita sa vlog eh walang naipundar,” he replied. “Baka magulat ka kung sino pinakamayaman sa aming tatlo.”
Chad revealed that MC recently bought land—reportedly the largest among their group—and is also one of the owners of the Vice Comedy Club.
“BOSS namin si MC sa Vice Comedy Club… Isa siya sa nagpapasweldo sa amin,” Chad emphasized, adding that MC has no debts and has helped many others quietly behind the scenes.
He continued: “Masipag si Lassy at deserve niya lahat ng meron siya, pero MALAKING TULONG SI MC sa kung ano man ang napundar ni Lassy.”
Chad slammed the basher for being judgmental and ignorant of the real situation.
“Kung wala kang alam, try mo mag-research,” he said. “Ayos lang naman na may bet ka sa amin, pero ‘di ibig sabihin may karapatan ka na sabihan ang iba na walang pangarap at tamad.”
He ended his rant by reaffirming his love for both MC and Lassy, and his readiness to stand up for them: “Mahal ko ang dalawang ‘yan. Kaya OO, PAPATOL AKO! Lalo na sa mga epal na ganito!”
