ACTRESS Carla Abellana neither confirmed nor denied speculations that she is getting married in December, saying she prefers to keep her private life away from the public eye.
“Kung totoo man po iyon o hindi, of course that’s part of my private life,” Carla said in an interview “I would like to keep it private. Sa dami naman po ng aking pinagdaanan na very publicized before, may choice naman po ako kung ilalabas ko po ’yun or hindi. Kung may kailangan man po akong sabihin, sa akin po manggagaling ’yun nang diretso at hindi po sa iba.”
When asked if she was engaged, the actress laughed and said, “I invoke my right to self-incrimination. So I refuse to say yes, I refuse to say no.”
Carla also joked that she has no packed schedule in December. “Hindi po ako busy ng December. Naghahanap po ako ng trabaho,” she said. “Bigyan niyo po akong trabaho, please. Wala na pong pangkain ’yung aking mga aso. Wala na pong pambayad ng tax ko next week. PHP364,000 po ang aking ano, hindi ko po alam kung saan pupulutin ’yung pambayad ko sa tax.”
When asked whether she believes love is lovelier the second time around, she replied, “I don’t know. Siguro po. Depende po, ’di ba, kung worth giving a chance. Hindi po lahat. Of course, we always give second chances, pero depende po doon sa kinalabasan o anumang nangyari doon sa unang chance.”
She admitted she once felt hesitant about marriage after her previous union with actor Tom Rodriguez was annulled. “Depende po but, of course, that’s coming from a person who’s very wounded and broken,” she said. “Of course I’m a different person today than I was before.”
