ALDEN Richards has started a new chapter—this time in the skies—as he embarks on training to become a licensed commercial pilot.
The actor marked his first day of aviation school with a photo in full uniform, shared on his social media account on July 31. His training is taking place at a flight school in Pampanga, where he is enrolled in a two-year course.
In a television interview, Richards shared that his decision was motivated by a long-standing dream of his father, one that he now wants to fulfill in his honor.
“Showbiz was my mom’s dream, and aviation was my dad’s. Now, both have become part of my journey,” he said.
Asked how he plans to balance this with his entertainment career, he emphasized the importance of time management. “If you really want something, you’ll make time for it,” he said.
Richards previously revealed he was granted a scholarship by the school, allowing him to pursue pilot training without putting his career on hold. Once completed, he aims to earn a commercial pilot license and open another path for himself beyond acting.
