Bea Alonzo drops cyberlibel case vs Cristy Fermin

VETERAN showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin and her co-hosts expressed gratitude to actress Bea Alonzo after announcing that their camps have reportedly reached an understanding over the cyber libel case filed last year.

The complaint, filed on May 2, 2024, stemmed from statements made on social media and online platforms.

She stressed that they never intended to harm the actress.

The group also issued a public apology.

“We are issuing this heartfelt and sincere apology to Ms. Bea Alonzo and her family for the harm caused by our statements and postings about her… It was never our intention to defame, offend, or harm Ms. Alonzo in any way,” the statement read.

They added that they would “cease and desist from any further commentary or content” that would put Alonzo in a negative light and thanked her for her willingness “to work towards resolution and healing.”
