Ate Gay receives RIP messages meant for Ate Guy

STAND-UP comedian Ate Gay found himself caught in an awkward mix of grief and humor after receiving condolence messages mistakenly addressed to him—following the death of screen legend Nora Aunor.

Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Morales, is known for impersonating Aunor, who was fondly called “Ate Guy” by generations of fans.

On Facebook, he shared one message he received: “Ate Gay, rest in peace po.

His response: “Maliiiiiii, juskoooo po.”

Another fan messaged that their aunt was so devastated by Nora’s passing, she refused to join a family outing.
