Anjo Yllana issues call to AFP, willing to go to jail

ACTOR and former politician Anjo Yllana took to TikTok to issue a call to the country’s defense institutions after former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co accused President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez of involvement in an alleged “mastermind” issue.

In a video posted Friday, Nov. 14, Anjo referenced Co’s recent statements and said, “Kumanta na kung sino talaga ang mastermind.”

He then called out the Armed Forces of the Philippines and its major service branches: the Philippine Army, Philippine Marines, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force and even adding, “Isama mo na rin ang Coast Guard kahit buwisit ‘yong boss d’yan sa Coast Guard.”

Anjo pressed them to make a choice: “Anong gusto ninyong mangyari? Paalisin ninyo si Marcos sa Malacañang o magkagulo dito sa Maynila…magkapatayan, magkasugatan, magkaduguan, magsunugan?”

He urged the AFP to show loyalty to the public rather than to those “sitting in Malacañang,” saying Co had already pointed to Marcos and Romualdez as supposed masterminds not included in the ICI investigation.

“Mawalang-galang na AFP, pakita na ninyo ang tapang ninyo. Para sa taumbayan kayo. Hindi kayo para sa mga taong nakaupo diyan sa Malacañang,” he said.

Anjo added he is willing to go to jail if needed, as long as the AFP acts and stops taking orders from AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. “’Di baleng makulong ako, okay lang… Kumilos na kayo. Kayo na lamang po ang aming pag-asa.”
