A WOMAN died after she was pinned beneath a passenger bus in Pandag, Maguindanao del Sur while taking her two children to enroll for the upcoming school year.
According to initial police investigation, the bus swerved to avoid a pothole and struck the rear of the motorcycle the victim was driving. She lost control, fell, and was run over by the vehicle.
“Itong bus driver, iniwasan niya yung lubak… pag-iwas, nasa unahan niya yung motor. Pagbusina niya, parang nagulat yung driver, nahagip at nahulog yung babae sa tapat ng gulong,” said Staff Sergeant Rizalde Sumensil.
The woman’s children, aged 10 and 11, suffered minor injuries and are now in the care of authorities.
The bus driver is under police custody, pending the family’s decision on whether to press charges.
